Talk to any recovery room nurse and they'll tell you that a person coming out from under anesthetic will say the most uncharacteristic things.
Not my dad. He came out of it doing what he does best; preaching! And it was quite humerous. When he was asked if he was allergic to anything he said, "chewing tobacco, did you know that a worm won't even chew on a tobacco leaf." Then he expanded on that and said "I don't drink, smoke or chew or run around with women who do."
But he didn't stop there, oh no. He told those girls that when he became a Christian 60 years ago this month he started a fight with "satan, that old split-hoof. I've preached from Genesis to Reveltions and I know the Author of that book personally."
I love it, especially since he also threw in a little bit of politics... He was fearful that he voted democrat while he was out!
Maybe you just had to be there a/o really know my dad. He was a hoot! Now we gotta get those three vetebre healed up so he can get his garden planted. Pray for him, he is hurting today.
Love my dad. He is as real as they come, conscious and semi-conscious!
