Words fail me tonight.
I can only say that this day has brought such great joy to my heart and a thankfulness that is difficult to describe.
For those of you who have prayed for Cari, thank you. God has heard our prayers and extended his hand of mercy.
As I said on June 4, the rheumatologist said he was 90% sure she had rheumatoid arthritis. We asked God to use that 10% to show us that He still hears and honors our prayers. He did.
Three weeks ago, we were fearful that she would be in pain today when she saw him. She wasn't.
All of the tests are in and although they do show that she has some kind of inflammatory process going on in her joints, it is not rheumatoid arthritis. ( there are over 100 kinds of arthritis and she may have one of those but they willnot require the potent medications that RA requires.
On our way home today, she and I were crying and thanking God for his goodness to us. In the middle of our joy I was reminded of the ten lepers in Luke who were healed by Jesus. Only one returned to thank Him.Tonight I want to be like that one who "threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked Him."
"Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!"
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, becauue when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
