Update on my girl

For those of you who have been praying for my girl. She saw the rheumatologist today. He said he is 90% sure she does have rheumatoid arthritis.  He said the reason she has not had any intense pain since that first week is because of the steroid injection she was given at that time and also the steroid she has been taking orally. He said the injection stays in the body for about 8 weeks.

She has to go back in three weeks to see him again. He will reassess at that time and if pain has returned he will start her on the RA meds.  He did do x-rays of her hands and it appears she has had no joint damage yet.

She has an amazingly positive attitude but I think her concern now is that when the steroids do wear off, she will wake up in the excrutiating pain she was in several weeks ago. She is also concerned about the horrible side effects and the expense of the medications that will be long term.

We are going to hold on to that 10% chance that it isn't RA. I would appreciate it if you would continue to pray with me that God's grace will be sufficient for her every need.

Thank you,
Brenda
