To have a son is a special miracle, just like having a daughter is a special miracle.
I am thinking about Mary the mother of Jesus this morning. I can almost see her holding him close, kissing his precious head, feeling his soft hair on her lips, smelling that new baby smell, listening to his little sucking sounds as he nurses. I know her heart was almost bursting with joy she had never felt before as she looked towards the man she loved and smiled. They had a son.
I have four sons. One lives in heaven and is celebrating Christmas with Jesus today. The other three became mine when they married my daughters. I love them all and am so glad God gave them to me.
The three that married my daughters have a special place in my heart. When they got my daughters they got the best of course. I also know their lives are never boring. Right guys?
Every year for Christmas I buy my girls something that is "matching" just so they don't forget all those matching dresses I made them when they were little. (can't figure out why they think those old pictures are so awful!) I have noticed thought that when the girls open their matching gifts every year, the guys look on, so wanting matching gifts too. (after all they are brothers). So this year, I splurged and bought them what their hearts desired! I have added a picture so you can see how happy they were with them!
