It's Wednesday. For those of you in the working world, hang in there, you only have two more days before the weekend. For me it is Jack and Natalie day. Yesterday was Nora and Zoe day. Tomorrow will be extra fun day because all four of them will be here. Two three year olds, a two year old and a 9 month old. I gave up fulltime nursing, something I loved to do something I love even more; watch some of my grandkids. What a priviledge and a dream come true for me.
I read Matthew 18 today. The disciples came to Him and wanted to know who was the greatest in the Kingdom of God. Do you remember what Jesus did? He called a little child to sit with him and He told His disciples "except ye be converted and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven."
Go ahead and read verses 1-8. I believe that Jesus is telling us that we need to be trusting, open and eager to learn. Life has a way of doing just the opposite to us doesn't it?
Sometimes I find myself disillusioned and doubtful of those around me. That is when I can feel myself becoming closed off, not only to other people but to God. I am so glad today that Psalms 23:3 promises restoration for my soul. That means I get to be childlike in my faith again.
And as a gramma with little ones around me, sometimes I allow myself to become childlike in my behaviors too. Let's see, should I go take a nap with Natalie or play hide and seek with Jack. I think Jack will win that one!
